About Weis Store

Long before “customer feedback surveys” and loyalty rewards became common, Weis Markets was already earning the trust of families across Pennsylvania one shopping trip at a time and more than a hundred years later.

That same commitment to quality, freshness, and community is still at the heart of every store, which is exactly why listening to shoppers through programs like the Weis Feedback Survey remains such an important part of how the company continues to grow and improve today.

How Your WeisFeedback.com Actually Gets Used

Our History

Weis Markets was founded in 1912 in Sunbury, Pennsylvania, by two brothers, Harry and Sigmund Weis, who opened their very first store under the name Weis Pure Foods. What began as a single, small storefront grew steadily over the decades into one of the most recognized grocery chains in the Mid Atlantic region.

From humble beginnings, Weis Markets expanded store by store, generation by generation, while staying true to its founding values offering fresh, affordable groceries and treating every customer like a neighbor.

Where We Are Today

Weis Markets now operates around 200 stores across seven states:

  • Pennsylvania
  • Maryland
  • New York
  • New Jersey
  • Delaware
  • Virginia
  • West Virginia

Each store is designed to bring the same experience customers have trusted for over a century clean aisles, friendly service, and shelves stocked with everyday essentials and fresh favorites.

  • Fresh Produce & Bakery – Daily stocked fruits, vegetables, and freshly baked goods.
  • Quality Meat & Seafood – Trusted butcher and seafood counters in every store.
  • Everyday Affordability – Regular weekly deals and discounts that make grocery shopping easier on the wallet.

Community and Sustainability

Weis Markets has long placed importance on giving back to the communities it serves, supporting local initiatives and working toward more sustainable store operations from responsible sourcing practices to reducing waste across its stores.

Why Customer Feedback Still Matters

Even after more than a century in business, Weis Markets hasn’t stopped listening. Through the official Weis Feedback Survey, everyday shoppers help guide decisions on store cleanliness, product selection, staff training, and overall shopping experience proof that the same values that built the very first store in 1912 are still guiding the company today.
